A magical month of sychronicity

Are you familiar with synchronicity? Have you ever experienced one of those magical moments where events just seemed to align perfectly, where you were in the right place at the right time, or where it seemed the coincidence occurring was far more meaningful than simply mere chance?

Jung describes synchronicity as the experience of two or more events that are apparently causally unrelated occurring together in a meaningful manner. To count as synchronicity, the events should be unlikely to occur together by normal chance, and should also be meaningful.

But Jung is not the only one (or the first) to describe synchronicity. Buddhists refer to the “interpenetration of reality” and in quantum physics we can see similarities in the theory of entanglement. Regardless of what angle you come at synchronicity from, most people would suggest that synchronicity is something that can be increased and enhanced in life. One of the easiest ways to do this is by simply paying attention. (Other methods relating to personal growth and expanding our consciousness can also reveal the amazing interconnectedness of things. More on that in the future…)

Would you like to tap into this incredibly powerful and exciting force, and bring more magical synchronicity into your life? Then I invite you to join me in a “Month of Synchronicity Challenge” – the journey of the Fool from innocence into awareness…

To join in, simply start paying attention to the coincidences in your life, and record them each day. See if they occur more often as you progress, or if they seem more magical or unlikely to be simply a chance event.

Some examples include:
– seeing an animal, person or other significant object in waking life that you have just dreamed of
– receiving an offer of help before you asked for it
– chance meetings with people who change your mind, offer an opportunity or introduce you to someone else who is significant
– finding something lost just when you need it
– obstacles that appear to prevent you from doing something, that you later realise would have harmed or reduced your life in some way
– repeat sightings of a special symbol, colour, name or animal
…but the list is endless!

If this sounds like a fun and exciting thing to do, why not join The Dream Well Facebook page, where for the month of April I will be focussing especially on synchronicity. Paying attention can be hard, so I will be there each day with inspiration, ideas and tips to help hone your focus, and to share some of my own personal experiences.

And I would love to hear about the magical synchronous events you experience in your own life too! You can share to the Facebook page or comment here.

Shall we journey forth and see what shall be revealed, when we open our hearts and minds to possibility?
Let’s go dreamer! We are all in this together…

  1. A week ago, and before joining your website, I listened (for the first time) to Carl Jung’s “Syncronicity,” and now it’s here in your website and mentioning him too =) I think I’ll call this a synchronous event =)
